Movie Trailers – Insurgent (2015)

Following the box office success of the movie Divergent (budget of $85 million) grossing over $288 million. While this series is meant mainly for teens, I have to say I found the first one good enough to see the second one. I may way for it to come out on Netflix but you can bet that I will see it at some point. There is quite a bit of action mixed in with love scenes. The film stars the following people:

  • Shailene Woodley

  • Theo James

  • Ashley Judd

  • Jai Courtney

  • Ray Stevenson

  • ZoĆ« Kravitz

  • Miles Teller

  • Tony Goldwyn

  • Ansel Elgort

  • Maggie Q

  • Kate Winslet

Movie Trailers – Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)

madmax4

I have not been this excited for a film since I can remember. I grew up watching the Mad Max trilogy. The last movie was made 20 years before Fury Road is set to debut. Nevertheless I am still excited because George Miller has directed all of the movies. There may have been a change in cast but having George Miller around means I can honestly say this movie will be a hit before even seeing it. Mel Gibson has been through a lot in the past 20 years and I hope this movie sparks enough interest in Mad Max to maybe bring him back in future movies.

There have been rumors of George Miller doing some sort of Anime version of Mad Max but nothing solid as of yet. It would not surprise me to see him do something like an in between-er like was done with the Pitch Black series. I would love to see this become something of a regular series honestly. There really is nothing like Mad Max: Road Warrior.

Kim Jung Un’s Aunt Died Shortly After Uncle Executed

kimkyonghui

Within days of her husband Jang Song-taek being dragged out of assembly in Pyongyang, Kim Jong Il’s only sister died of a stroke. The obvious starts to come to mind when thinking about this story. Your guess is honestly as good as the rest of us as understanding North Koreans is something I am afraid the United States has failed to do so far. They always seem to throw us these curve balls from time to time. Just when the rhetoric seems like it couldn’t get any crazier they decide to release all US hostages from prison. They even released Matthew Todd Miller who was apparently traveling to North Korean in order to conduct research on prison life. I still don’t understand how someone can put themselves through that. The chances that he would have been put in a prison with other North Koreans seemed unlikely anyway.

Kim Kyong-hui was 68 years old and had lived a full life compared to most North Koreans when she died. To give you an idea as to just how crazy this entire family is, Kim and Jang had a daughter who went to school in the West. When it came time to come home, their daughter refused and eventually ended up killing herself because of how her family felt about her relationship with her boyfriend. It really makes you wonder what they are doing over there and why they have no decided to change things up a little. I think they are afraid that if they do anything out of the ordinary their people might stop believing in one Korea. News of her death had not come out earlier for fear of conspiracy theorists claiming that she was murdered by the government. I still think that possibility is very real.
